Chemically, they consist of chromium (19–23%), nickel (23–28%), molybdenum (4–5%), and copper (1–2%), which give them excellent chemical resistance against acidic and chloride-rich environments. Mechanically, they provide tensile strength of approximately 490 MPa and yield strength of approximately 220 MPa, with excellent ductility and toughness. Physically, density is approximately 8.0 g/cm³, and they are stable and resistant to corrosion even at temperatures as high as 450°C and hence best suitable for extreme process conditions.
