Stainless Steel 202 Pipe Fittings have a well-balanced blend of chemical, mechanical, and physical properties that suit a variety of moderate-duty uses. Chemically, SS 202 also comprises chromium (17–19%), nickel (4–6%), and manganese (7.5–10%), with less nickel than 304 and thus being cost-effective. Mechanically, it provides good strength with tensile strength of about 515 MPa and yield strength of about 275 MPa, along with good formability and toughness. Physically, it is 7.8 g/cm³ in density and has a melting point of about 1400°C, with good corrosion and wear resistance in mildly aggressive conditions.
