Stainless Steel 321/321H Buttweld Fittings have superior chemical, mechanical, and physical properties, making them suitable for high-temperature and corrosive conditions. Chemically, they are stabilized austenitic stainless steels with the addition of titanium to resist intergranular corrosion particularly following welding. Grade 321H has a higher carbon content than 321, improving its high-temperature strength. Mechanically, the fittings have excellent tensile strength, creep resistance, and stress rupture properties, with normal tensile strength of about 515 MPa and yield strength of 205 MPa. Physically, they possess structural stability at high temperature and contain good oxidation resistance up to 900°C.
