Stainless Steel 317/317L Forged Fittings have excellent chemical, mechanical, and physical properties. Chemically, they consist of high chromium (18–20%), nickel (11–15%), and molybdenum (3–4%) content, with low carbon in 317L to improve weldability and reduce carbide precipitation. Mechanically, they offer a tensile strength of around 515 MPa and a yield strength of 205 MPa, with superior ductility and toughness. Physically, their density is roughly 8.0 g/cm³, and they retain structural integrity at temperatures up to 870°C, which makes them ideal for high and moderate temperature conditions.
