Inconel 601 Buttweld Fittings are composed mainly of nickel (58-63%) and chromium (21-25%), with small additions of aluminum, which enhance their resistance to high-temperature oxidation and corrosion. Chemically, the aluminum content contributes to the formation of a strong, adherent oxide layer that protects the material in extreme heat. Mechanically, Inconel 601 offers excellent tensile strength, good creep resistance, and high fatigue strength, making it suitable for demanding conditions. Physically, it retains stability under thermal cycling, resists scaling, and exhibits good thermal conductivity, making it ideal for furnace components, heat exchangers, and exhaust systems.
