Super Duplex Steel Forged Fittings have a special combination of chemical, mechanical, and physical properties. Chemically, they are composed of high chromium (approximately 25%), nickel (6–8%), and molybdenum (3–4%) content with additions of nitrogen, which improves their resistance to chloride-induced corrosion. Mechanically, they possess extremely high tensile strength (usually around 800 MPa) and yield strength (at least 550 MPa), with good ductility and impact resistance. Physically, these fittings possess a density of about 7.8 g/cm³ and function well in low and high-temperature conditions because of their high thermal stability.
