Hastelloy C22 Pipe Fittings contain a high-performance nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with iron and tungsten additions. Chemically, the high chromium (20-22.5%) and molybdenum (12.5-14.5%) composition gives excellent resistance to a broad range of corrosive environments, both oxidizing and reducing environments, and the tungsten addition increases its resistance to localized forms of attack such as crevice attack and pitting. Mechanically, Hastelloy C22 provides excellent tensile and yield strength and good ductility. Physically, it has stability over a wide temperature range and good weldability, thermal stability, as well as resistance to stress corrosion cracking, and hence is suitable for severe chemical processing conditions.
